how long do you have from your 1st meeting of creditors to complete a pre-discharge debtor information course?
I believe my attorney misadvised me. My wife and I filed for bankruptcy on 9/15/10 in the state of idaho. Our 1st meeting of creditors was on 10/21/10.
I cannot find anywhere where the law states when the course must be completed in relation to either the filing date or the first meeting of creditors date
Credit counseling must take place before you file for bankruptcy; debtor education must take place after you file and before its discharged in front of a judge in court
its not a State law.. its a Federal Law
